In Guide to Leica, I discuss three types of flare with the Leica 75mm f/2 APO-Summicron-M ASPH and what to do about it. Included are shielded and unshielded examples, and the effect of aperture on some flare types.

Note that the shadow effect across the top of the frame is identical to that seen with the Leica 50mm f/2 APO-Summicron-M ASPH and Noctilux and other Leica M lenses. That shadow corresponds to an internal structure of the M240 body at the bottom of the mount area (the lens projects an inverted image).
