Toshiba compact flash
Hits 115 MB/sec for downloads with a USB3 card reader, super fast and nary a problem in my D800E with heavy use over some months, best CF card I’ve ever used.
Fujinon 7 X 50 FMTF-SX Polaris binoculars
About $606 (a steal).
The Fujinon 7 X 50 beat out Leica, Zeiss, Swarovsky and others for the best image quality, best eye relief and most comfortable viewing experience, and greatest depth of field. A bit bulky with porro prisms, but awesome sharp bright view free of field curvature or color errors. A steal by comparison to the expensive alternatives, but better yet: better. See review as well as all my binocular reviews. There are also a 10 X 50 and 10 X 70 models, but I recommend the 7 X 50 for all around use.
Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 Distagon, 135mm f/2 APO-Sonnar
For Canon or Nikon or adaptable to mirrorless. See pricing on Zeiss gear page.
The finest DSLR lenses ever made, which I also rate as superior to the best Leica M glass in their respective focal length range.
Fast reliable SSD for laptop or other system
Give your laptop or desktop a new lease on life.
Or make Lightroom scream (put the catalogs onto the SSD).
I have used OWC SSDs for years now (3 of these puppies striped). I also use a pair of the even faster OWC Mercury Accelsior PCIe SSD in my Mac Pro (any Thunderbolt Mac can also use the PCIe version in the Helios case). The Mercury Envoy Pro EX SSD is fantastic for travel.
