Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 OSS Vario-Tessar: Distortion and Color Fringing at 24mm

Order the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens at B&H Photo.

How much distortion and color fringing does the Sony 24-70mm f/4Vario-Tessar have? By using more than one raw converter, one can see if there are “silent corrections”.

In particular, ACR silently corrects color fringing (lateral chromatic aberration) even when ACR settings are ALL OFF. The actual lens performance for color fringing can be seen by using Iridient Developer:

ACR bug

It’s unclear why such a blatant ignore-user-choice bug exists in ACR, but I’ve reported on it before with the E-M1. It’s a general bug affecting most but not all cameras; generally consumer and mirrorless cameras but not DSLRs. An internal EXIF flag sort of thing?
