Zeiss ZE 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar: a Few Examples
Get Canon 5DS R and Zeiss Milvus 100mm f/2M at B&H Photo. Older Zeiss ZF.2 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar at $300 off.
I’ve got so much material from my last trip from a variety of Zeiss lenses that it’s taking a lot of time to even just sort through it!
I made a distinct effort to shoot the 15/2.8, 21/2.8, 35/1.4, Otus 55/1.4, Otus 85/1.4, and 135/2 APO on the Canon 5DS R*: most of my Zeiss lens shooting has been on Nikon because for years Canon always had lower resolution and dynamic range (now it’s higher resolution and it remains lower dynamic range).
As I work through my material, I thought I’d post two examples with the 100/2 Makro-Planar rather than wait and finish, so I could get some examples up as I continue with the Zeiss 21/2.8 examples.

Images up to 24 megapixels. Some images in both color and black and white.
I do not yet have a sample of the Zeiss Milvus 100mm f/2M, and while flare control has always been excellent, Zeiss indicates a slight improvement in flare resistance versus the ZF.2/ZE 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar, but otherwise its optical formula is the same, including correction for color aberrations.
* (bummer) Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 APO-Distagon had to go back to Zeiss about a month ago.
