Pentax K3 II: Evaluating SuperResolution Pixel Shift Mode with Zeiss Siemens Star Chart
See my Pentax K1 wish list at B&H Photo.
Wanting to explore the SuperResolution pixel shift mode of the Pentax K1 ahead of time, I asked B&H Photo for a loaner Pentax K3 II, along with a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art for Pentax (and Pentax 31/1.8).
See my in-depth review of the Sigma 35/1.4 DG HSM Art.
The Zeiss Siemens Star Test Chart is black and white and thus may show relatively less benefit for SuperRes mode (no color detail to render), but the Zeiss logo in blue shows something interesting about monochromatic color.
This analysis looks for resolution differences, spatial moiré and color moiré as well as color aliasing artifacts between the two shooting modes.

That Pentax 31/1.8 did not cut the mustard, so I used the Sigma 35/1.4, and some commentary on that matter is also included.
