Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Pocket Pod: Get Down Low, Supports Heavy Load
Get down really low and close with the Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Pocket Pod.
The Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Pocket Pod can support a substantial load as shown here with the Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 APO-Distagon mounted on the Nikon D810, which together weigh about 2.5 kilograms.
The TFA-01 Pocket Pod is very sturdy, and a beautiful thing too. There are also Really Right Stuff ground pods may be better for a little more height and/or for long lenses. But the pocket pod gets very low and very close.
There are several variants of the Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Pocket Pod; I tried the smallest clamp version with the BC-18 clamp.

Great tools these ground hugging pods.
The big drawback is using them with a camera that DOES NOT have a tilting LCD. Hope to see Nikon/Canon add this feature to future models.
DIGLLOYD: Sony mirrorless comes to mind, in spite of my D810 + Zeiss example.
