With the same optical formula as the Zeiss ZF.2/ZE 15mm f/2.8 Distagon but improved lens coatings (a behavior I have directly verified), the Zeiss Milvus 15mm f/2.8 adopts the Milvus-style ergonomics and weather sealing build. I really like the new build style on the Milvus 15/2.8—a nice improvement over the ZF.2 15/2.8 Distagon.
The weather sealing is a huge plus, and Rich S can now rest easy if he sends me the Milvus 15/2.8 for testing in winter/spring, unlike the original 15/2.8 Distagon.
Another benefit is that the lens hood is removable, not a fixed hood as with the 15/2.8 Distagon.
