Nikon D850 Shipments: Some Movement

Get Nikon D850 at B&H Photo and see my Nikon wishlist.

I just received a 2nd sample of the Nikon D850, and a friend says his arrives today. So there are shipments occurring.

I maintain that the Nikon D850 is the best DSLR ever produced, and that it warrants a look and that Sony mirrorless is terrific, but Sony A7 series cameras suck out in the field in the cold with lousy haptics and ergonomics by comparison. Shooting on a tripod, I vastly prefer the Nikon D850.

Together with the best-ever trio of the Zeiss Milvus 18/2.8, 25/1.4 and 35/1.4 (not cheap but whaddya want for world’s best 18/25/35 trio?), the D850 makes a 'killer' landscape camera.

Time presses but I want to compare the flange focal offset to the first one, which was adjusted by Nikon, as well as check to see if I can detect any difference in flange/sensor parallelism. I will buy one of them and send the other back.

Durable and fast, up to 1800MB/s
