Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 8-18mm f/2.8-4 ASPH
See my micro four thirds wish list at B&H Photo and get Panasonic 8-18mm at B&H Photo.
I’m testing the about $1098 Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 8-18mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. I like the lens a lot, though I have not examined its performance in detail as yet. Really terrific fit to the about $1699 Olympus E-M1 Mark II.
Further below is my list of *highly* recommended lenses. Why are they mostly Panasonic when I’m shooting the Olympus E-M1 II? Well, because I have been disappointed in the Olympus 'PRO' lenses and really happy with every lens from Panasonic in the list below. Some are outstanding gems, like the about $1400 Panasonic Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 ASPH.
Gotta go, a major storm with fierce wind and rain is now pounding my van, and I need to get over to the Panamints quick (had to drive back for internet near Ridgecrest). I’ll be careful not to park in a flash-flood prone canyon tonight!
