Zeiss Loxia 25mm f/2.4 Aperture Series: Bristlecone Logs View to Bristlecone Graveyard, Dusk Purple Sky (Sony A7R IV)
This series evaluates the Zeiss Loxia 25mm f/2.4 Distagon from f/2.4 through f/8 on a near-far landscape scene at dusk. It shows the sharpness and blur/bokeh qualities at f/2.4 through f/8, as well as showing focus shift behavior exceptionally well, as well as field curvature behavior.
It is an excellent demonstration of why any landscape photographer keen on his/her craft must master focus stacking, or suffer continually from inferior results. To that end, a 4-frame focus stacked image is included for comparison with f/8.
