I will be testing the new Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM against the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G and the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art soon, so I thought I might as well throw in the Sigma FE 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art in order to extend that range. I am also hoping that the new Sigma FE 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art shows up in time to do that too.
I reviewed the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art on the Nikon D850 and it is an impressive optic on par with the Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 APO-Distagon.
It’s available for Sony and while front heavy as many of the DG HSM Art lenses are for Sony, it should be a highly capable performer that roasts just about every other 28mm.
As I write this, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E is discounted $350.
