I have Zeiss Otus 55/1.4, Zeiss 135mm f/2 APO-Sonnar, and Milvus in 25 & 35 from your recommendations, and purchased thru your links. All in Nikon mount - using Z7 FOR FILL FLASH LARGE family portraits.
If I switch to Sony, is there an adapter ? I now manually focus (obviously) , and shoot in manual mode. Thx.
I start my morning (am 77 and retired except for photo shoot) with coffee and your blog.
DIGLLOYD: I skip the coffee, though I used to indulge.
see Sony A7R II with Zeiss Otus and other Lenses. Nikon F-mount lenses lacking an aperture ring are more troublesome—I am not a fan of electronic adapters. But that is not an issue for Zeiss ZF.2 lenses.
Also, the Nikon lens adapter is superior build quality.
If the lens selection is adapted lenses as stated above, I’d probably not switch to Sony, given the superior Nikon lens adapter and the lack of any distinct benefit or the Nikon Z7 for the state purpose.
