Sony A1 Lossless-Compressed Raw Format: Update Photoshop and Lightroom and you’re 'good'

Some several readers say that that Sony A1 lossless-compressed raw files won’t open in Photoshop or Lightroom.
That might be true for older versions, but update to the latest, and you’re 'good'.
Adobe has its bugs and I’ve reported on them many a time. But one thing Adobe does better than anything out there is to stay current with new camera releases. That is worth every penny to me, since I am constantly working with new cameras and lenses.
As for PhaseOne CaptureOne Pro—you’re out of luck for now. This is why I can never consider using C1Pro—they are always behind in supporting new cameras and that is a non-starter for my work, let alone the inferior workflow for my needs.
I consider $10/month a bargain for Photoshop/Lightroom. Compare that to my cell phone bill or the cost of my time for constant crap-grade macOS and iOS updates, and it’s a rounding error. And we’re talking about a $6500 camera plus lenses here too.
