Sony Viewer.app: Like the Sony A7R V, Undermining Confidence in Sony Engineering
re: Sony pixel shift
Sony was apparently intent on not only shipping the Sony A7R V with a steaming pile of bugs and usability problems and headaches, but made sure that the one software program required for processing pixel shift files into ARQ also suffered from problems.
Below, the ARQ file derived from 4 pixel shift frames is a full stop too bright. And this occurred with every one of 20 or so such pixel shift results that I shot today, of varying subject.
What in heck is wrong with firmware and software quality control at Sony? It’s getting ridiculous. And no matter my communications with my Sony contact, I hear nothing back. It’s unacceptable.
