Sony Pixel Shift on Sony A7R V: Pixel Shift In Combination With Panoramic Stitching
re: Sony pixel shift
Sony 4-shot pixel shift can be used with outstanding results when making stitched panoramas. While a little detail can be lost in areas where the stitching process joins images together, these examples show that the outstanding detail level is largely preserved within the finished image.

Optics
The Voigtlander APO lenses continue to deliver stunning results on the Sony A7R V—reference-grade optics. You will not find better value on any platform, and the prices are unbelievably low for what they deliver. The smart move for every landscape shooter is to own all three of these APO lenses. Anything else is just foolish. Yeah, I know y'all want to use a zoom—tough shit—if you are serious about quality, ditch the “good enough” solutions and go for the best. The one zoom exception is the Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM, unrivalled by any prime lens. The new Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II is a fine lens, but excessive field curvature makes it a loser for landscape work.
I really like the Voigtlander FE 65mm f/2 Macro APO-Lanthar for landscape as a short telephoto for a very nice perspective that often feels just right, better than 50mm. This image has the feel of 'medium format' perspective. Of course 50mm and 35mm are terrific also, but I find over at Alpine creek that 65mm is ideal.
Below, a scene challenging not only for pixel shift, but for panoramic stitching. Wow!
