Fujifilm GFX100S and Lenses on Sale

For any Fujifilm medium format shooter, it would be foolish to pass up the about $500 Fujifilm GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 while on sale (or even at full price).
I am a big fan of 100 megapixels vs 50MP, since I must invest the same effort making an image at 50MP as at 100MP.
But the Fujifilm GFX 50S II at about $3200 will deliver 75% of the image detail for a lot less money. It’s a huge value proposition along with the 35-70mm zoom ($3700 total). And for many purposes, the resolution difference is often minimal, being diminished by diffraction at f/11.
Which Lenses
The smart move is 35-70mm plus the new Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4, which I tested with satisfaction; its fixed f/4 aperture is a nice plus and its performance particularly at the wide end is beyond reproach even for a prime lens.
Other lenses I highly recommend include the Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 and especially the Fujifilm GF 250mm f/4. The Fujifilm GF 50mm f/3.5 is the nicest lens of all for a compact carry. The Fujifilm GF 80mm f/1.8 has its purposes too, though I’d suggest the 110/2 for landscape instead.
