Examples at f/1.2: Late Dusk, Beaver on the Loose

These seven examples at f/1.2 were shot at very late dusk when I could scarcely see. However, the Canon EOS R does a wonderful job at f/1.2 in delivering a Live View image in full color, a sort of night vision device, but in color.

These frames give a good idea of what a miracle-worker the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM is at f/1.2: crisp and clear imagery wide open—very impressive.

The orange/magenta color is due to high clouds catching the sun a good while after it had set. It is acccurate as to how the eye saw it.

The Canon EOS R was able to focus at 10X Live View in these very dark conditions (too dark to see anything in the water, and I was barely able to see the outlines of the reeds.
