The mimicry of ACROS film simulations is good enough most of the time for a starting point, but the custom Photoshop Black & White layer conversion used here is superior to the ACROS version because tonal relationships could be modified for the desired effect to separate elements in a fairly drab lighting situation, a big advantage over a fixed tonal mapping.
