Aperture Series: Ranch Barn, Oblique View

Fujifilm X-Pro2 in raw RAF format, Lens Modulation Optimizer = On.

RAW (RAF) conversion

When I convert raw files, I want a crisply detailed image that is low in noise and free of any obvious sharpening artifacts. In general, Fujifilm X-Pro2 files are by far the most difficult raw images I have dealt with as of March 2016. As discussed in the 4-way raw conversion comparison, it is a chore to deal with RAF files. This particular series was unduly frustrating. While I can convert Nikon or Sony or Leica or Canon files ease and a minimum of fuss; converting X-Pro2 RAF files is a workflow burden since ACR results are often disagreeable.
