Sigma DP-3 Merrill

Examples (DP3M, Tulips)

Still life tulips with the Sigma DP3 Merrill. See the tulips with the Sigma DP2 Merrill.

The longer focal length of the DP3 Merrill produces a perspective that might fool one into thinking “full frame”, or even medium format was used. The image quality is certainly there.

Exposure details as noted. Many are stopped down to the ~ f/9 - f/11 range which does degrade per-pixel sharpness just slightly. No saturation was added— this is right out of Sigma Photo Professional raw converter. Black background darkened for some images.

Images taken with a black background, simple window lighting, with some care to use proper ETTR exposure for peak quality.

Fine art canvas prints available for for any of the tulip images on this or other pages. See also the Nikon D800 tulip images.
