Sony Electronic viewfinder FDA-EVM1K EVF
The FDA-EVM1K electronic viewfinder (2,359K dots) offers a high grade view and is a must-have for the RX1. The view is really engaging and beautiful with excellent color and contrast that incited me to take images—it’s that enjoyable! It’s so good that in some ways the EVF image is almost too good. But this is a good thing as it keeps the user engaged.
Contrast the Sony EVF with (as of August 2013) the Leica VF-2 for the Leica M Typ 240, which is toy-like by comparison (low contrast, low resolution, washes out): the Leica offering disengages the photographer and discourages picture taking because it is unpleasant to use.
