These examples represent some of the best results possible with the Sony RX100. All were processed from RAW (ARW) into 16-bit TIF using Adobe Camera RAW 7.2 RC.

Focal length quoted in equivalent 35mm terms, e.g., 10.4mm = 28mm.

Sharpening after downsampling is a little more aggressive than usual (0.02 instead of 0.01, using Topaz InFocus), due to the sharpness limitations with most of the images.

Push and pull

A “push” refers to film days— positive exposure compensation during RAW conversion. A “pull” is “overexposure” followed by negative exposure compensation during RAW conversion. A pull is desirable from a noise perspective (“expose to the right”).
