This page has a simple goal: to show the versatility of an ultra wide angle zoom. A slight change in position and the scene changes; zoom in or out and a very different image results. Together with changing light conditions, the possibilities are endless.
As the focal length increases, the angle of view declines, narrowing the background material. These four images give a good sense of just how different a picture can be with minor changes in position and the use of a zoom lens; the perspective changes little but the angle of view changes substantially.
This beautiful boulder and the rapidly varying light caught my eye. I could have shot it for an hour, but time pressed (a boat ride back on Saddlebag Lake).
