Much less common—indeed rare in my experience—is the presence of lateral chromatic aberration of the blue/yellow type, as is shown in this example—usually blue halo effects are longitudinal chromatic aberration, which disappears quickly with stopping down and not often found with an f/4 lens. Not so here where the color fringing is blue and of the lateral type—it does not improve with stopping down.
