Flare Examples
The Canon TS-E 135mm f/4L Macro delivers a very sharp high contrast image. However, with a tilt/shift lens, the angle of view is much wider than what is being recorded, so take care to exclude extraneous light.
As with most lens hoods, coverage is marginal even for non-shift lenses. In the case of the 135/4L TS-E, the lens hood must admit light for the lens fully shifted as well. Hence it cannot exclude light very effectively.
