Canon 5DS R
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM

Aperture Series: Green Machine, Oblique View (5DS R)

The Canon 5DS R is a 50-megapixel camera and thus presents a severe challenge to any lens, certainly one with few lens elements (not at all well corrected).

But sometimes it is the rendering style of the lens that appeals, and in this regard the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM not only has a highly appealing rendering style, but delivers a high quality image fairly quickly, and one with pleasing bokeh.

Green Machine, Oblique View

A Zeiss polarizer was used.

Adobe Camera Raw 9.1 (441). ACR settings. Camera Profile = Adobe Standard. Not corrected for vignetting or color aberrations or distortion.
