Aperture Series: Pine Creek Sun Wedge (D810)
An infinity-focus landscape is among the most demanding tests of a lens, mercilessly revealing all shortcoming of both the optical design and the assembly quality of the lens. Thus a 20mm that can acquit itself well on this scene deserves praise.

Diffraction-mitigating sharpening was used for the f/11, f/13, f/16 frames as per Mitigating Micro Contrast Losses from Diffraction Blur in Making Sharp Images.
Exposures were shot EV-matched but did not turn out that way; as with other series, the 20/1.8G sometimes produces erratic and inconsistent brightness changes across its aperture range, for reasons not understood by your author. In this case the variance was minor; f/1.8 and f/2 were 1/6 stop brighter than expected.
