This lens rendering series was focused fairly far out and yet shows the difficulty the lens can have in sharpening to the far distance, the reason being field curvature.

Considerable contrast control was needed here; quite amazing really what the Nikon D810 is capable of handling in the quality of its files. The exposure was absolutely perfect utilizing the entire dynamic range with no loss of highlighte detail as the RawDigger histogram shows.
