Nikon Df Introduction
The retro-style Nikon Df is a 16-megapixel full-frame camera with classic styling which utilizes the high-grade sensor from the Nikon D4. In a sense, it is a Nikon D4 sensor housed in a less capable body, but perhaps one more appealing to some shooters, and certainly much less expensive.
Low light performance should be superb, but how does it hold, shoot and carry and being a DSLR with a high-sensitivity sensor, how is it best used?
The Df looks like a perfect pairing with the new 58mm f/1.4G though Nikon has chosen to bundle it with a version of the AF-S 50mm f/1.8G styled to match the Df body better than the standard 50/1.8G (same optics). This was surely a pricing issue, given the vastly higher price of the 58/1.4.G.
