Build quality, fit and finish
Build quality is an attractive black matte finish similar to an anodized look. The lens appears to contain metal parts and even the lens hood seems to be metal (it feels heavy and is 276g). In pure terms of strictly visual appeal, I rate it as more attractive than the Canon and Nikon super teles. But how its fit and finish hold up over the long term cannot be said here.
The 120-300mm appears to be a very well built-lens in addition to the attractive finish. With apparent use of plenty of metal parts, one might expect long term usage, but of course it is the internal electronic and moving parts that cannot be assessed for durability except by actual long term usage.
