This page shows ad-hoc examples from the Eastern Sierra Nevada, some shot with the Nikon D810 and some with the 45-megapixel Nikon D850.

Many are focus stacked, and some are single frames.

Some images have both color and black and white versions; toggle to compare black.

I shot this 6-frame stack wide open at f/1.8 to test how well the Focus shift shooting feature of the Nikon D850 would perform. While lens weaknesses are clear (really excellent for for f/1.8 however!), the D850 appears to have done a very fine job—and with near-zero work on my part to shoot the frames.
