Sigma 180/2.8 APO vs Leica 180/2.8 APO vs Voigtlander 180/4 APO (Mosaic)

At distance near infinity focus on a planar (flat) target, how does the Sigma 180/2.8 APO Macro DG HSM against the Leica 180mm f/2.8 APO-Elmarit-R?

Optical performance at distance is not necessarily the same as close range; a macro lens might perform less well at distance (being optimized for close range), and a non-macro lens is usually optimized for medium range to infinity focus. The ideal performer is one that can be used at all distances equally well; this is the notion for “floating” lens elements that make subtle corrections for focusing distance as the lens is focused.
