These examples taken in the Eastern Sierra Nevada on the Nikon D810.

Autumn brown

These plants grow in many places and turn this pleasing light brown each fall.

It’s hard to assess performance across the field with an image like this, but the Sigma 24-105/4A delivers good sharpness on the in-focus areas. It does appear to weaken in the outer zones—see crops.

Subtle traces of lateral CA are seen in outer zones. Background bokeh is smooth and pleasing.
