Black Dots on White Spots Digital Artifacts

Leica M10 Monochrom firmware 2.12.8.0 (latest as of December 2020).

Back in May of 2015 with the Leica M Monochrom Typ 246, I reported on a “black dots on white spots” digital artifact problem (or the inverse). Whether it was fixed is unknown to me, since I never had another camera to verify during the ensuing years. But it seems doubtful, given its re-emergence in the 40-megapixel Leica M10 Monochrom as shown here—whatever engineering is involved, it looks like the same problem.
