Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.1 Aperture Series: Bridge
For each aperture, a focus series is shown, which aids in visualization:
- Bokeh and depth of field.
- The general feel of f/1.1 vs f/2.8 vs f/5.6.
- Lens aberrations, particularly color aberrations.
- Image rendition, the “drawing” style.
- Breathing and the change in image magnification with focus.
Example — footbridge and bike
Visualize the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.1 at three apertures: f/1.1, f/2.8, f/5.6.
The images at each numbered position were shot at the same focus position (focus, shoot the three apertures, focus again, repeat).
