Leica 21mm f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH

Examples: Leica 21/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH

These examples were taken with Leica 21mm f/1.4 Summilux-M, a 2009 Leica design more appropriate for the digital sensor of the Leica M8 or M9, because its design does not use extreme ray angles to the sensors, thus ensuring less vignetting and lower off-center color.

Many of the examples here are instructional, chosen to demonstrate aspects of the 21/1.4 and/or M9.

Aperture best guess

The M9 does not and cannot know the aperture at which the exposure is made. The notation ~f/8 means “f/8 or thereabouts”. When the ~ is absent, it means exact aperture.
