Aperture Series: Beaver Pond Meadow, Lundy Canyon (M240)

This scene shows the challenge of making a sharp image with a scene that extends from a few feet away to ~infinity. Even with an 18mm lens this is a serious challenge on a 24-megapixel digital camera, the M240.

The branches at left and the leading ones at right are very close to the camera. To make them sharp, even an 18mm lens needs some stopping down, given focus on the grass tuft at center.
