Leica 18mm f/3.8 Super-Elmar-M ASPH

Vignetting: 18/3.8 Super-Elmar-M ASPH

Vignetting is about what one would expect, meaning that natural vignettting remains significant even after the lens has done its job (cos^4 law, reflection off the sensor, etc).

Fortunately, the M9 lens correction moderates most of the vignetting so that it goes without notice on most images.

Since the 18/3.8 SEM was originally released with 6-bit coding, tricking the M9 into using the 18/3.8 SEM lens correction entails coding the alternate lens so as to trick the M9 into applying lens correction (e.g., the Zeiss ZM 18mm f/4 Distagon).
