Aperture Series: Cell Towers at 10,600' (M240)
The 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M ASPH is a diminutive lens, the smallest and lightest in the Leica M line. While it gives up a stop of brightness over its 28mm f/2 Summicron-M ASPH sibling, performance remains high in spite of its small size: by giving up that stop, other optical design compromises need not be made.

The Leica M Typ 240 top shutter speed of 1/4000 second at f/2.8 was just adequate for and exposure in which raw image files contains full highlight detail in the ProPhotoRGB color space, though slightly out of bounds in AdobeRGB (used here). The very bright areas contain little useful detail and were not pulled back or altered, though this could be done.
