This comparison was made with the Leica M Typ 240 using the EVF in 10X magnified Live View. Focus bracketing was done for a definitive comparison, bearing in mind that a small focus shift with each lens as well as field curvature with the 35/1.4 Summilux are factors as well.
The subject is very close to being geometrically planar, the mountain bike frame and wheels were positioned to be in close to a plane, though there is of course depth front to back on the bike. The camera was centered on the Siemen’s star at center for focusing.
