Distortion: 50/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH

The distortion graph shown below is nearly as good as it gets for a 50mm lens, though a bit different from that of the 50/2 Summicron-M, and at its strongest, about twice as much distortion as the 50 Summicron, but only at the far corners.

Observe faint pincushion distortion to the edges. This is a very low level, almost unobservable except on a straight horizon, or a straight line, such as a wall or building. It should be easily correctable in software should the need arise, but is so low that only very technical applications should need correction
