Leica 50/2 APO ASPH Flare (Nov 2013 Sample)

Nov 2013 lens sample, which seems to greatly mitigate the flare issue of the early production runs.

On Leica M Type 240. No filter was used and the lens shade was fully extended.

These examples test the replacement lens received in late 2013, a replacement for the flawed June 2012 lens purchased by your author.

The examples put the sun in various places in the frame in order to evaluate overall flare control. Additional evaluation is warranted to study whether the original design severe flares can still be provoked under some circumstances.
