Leica M240
Zeiss ZM 35mm f/1.4 Distagon

Aperture Series: Plants Eking Out Light Inside Barn (M240)

This image series is shown for its striking clarity and transparency; it has a feel that can comes from a high level of optical correction along with its flat field (absolutely minimial field curvature).

The Leica 35/1.4 Summilux cannot make an image of this character, because its micro contrast is lower at f/1.4 and its field is quite curved, which throws the wrong things into or out of focus.

Plants Eking Out Light Inside Barn

Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 (414). ACR settings. Camera Profile = Embedded.

No camera lens correction / lens coding used hence the vignetting will be stronger than if correction had been used. A polarizer was used to bring down the brightness of the sky (to balance it with the barn).
