Leica 16-18-21mm f/4 Tri-Elmar-M ASPH

Vignetting: 16-18-21/4 Tri-Elmar-M ASPH

Vignetting is about what one would expect, meaning that natural vignettting remains significant even after the lens has done its job (cos^4 law, reflection off the sensor, etc).

Vignetting is strongest at 16mm, but the difference in the extreme corners is at most 1/3 stop between 16mm and 21mm.

The M9 lens correction moderates most of the vignetting so that it goes without notice on most images, but presumably it corrects conservatively for 21mm (since it cannot know which focal length is in use), thus leaving 16mm and 18mm a bit under-corrected. However, the differences in vignetting are quite small.
