Field Curvature for Zeiss ZM 35/1.4 Distagon, Mirrorless Cameras vs M-Cameras
Field curvature of the Zeiss ZM 35/1.4 is exceptionally well controlled for a 35/1.4 lens, a much flatter field than either the Leica 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH or Leica 35mm f/2 Summicron-M ASPH.
Still, there is a very mild curvature forward in the mid zones, then inflecting rearward from the long edge into the far corners. The corner inflection as well as the mid-zone “wave” are mirror images of the MTF chart behavior.
