Leica R to Leica M adapter R-Adapter M

Shooting Procedure with R-Adapter M

See the overview of the Leica R-Adapter M.

When mounted, the Leica M Typ 240 offers an additional menu of lens correction choices. This is an entirely manual selection, and thus very prone to forgetful error, a user error your author freely admits to.

The camera has no way of detecting a lens change, so the user is on his own for remembering to select the lens in use in the menu after changing lenses. Your author found this to be a recurring problem to always remember!

Lens corrections for telephoto lenses are relatively minor in scope (mainly vignetting and color correct to the corners), but shorter focal length lenses will be more affected and in any case it is confusing to have the wrong EXIF data in the files.
