Adapting Leica R Lenses to M
The Leica R-adapter M allows mounting Leica R lenses to a Leica M camera body.

Camera choice
There is no rangefinder coupling with adapted R lenses.
Accurate focusing (non-guess) is possible only with M bodies having Live View, hence the M8/M9/M9P/M-E bodies are impractical for this purpose. The Leica M Typ 240 is the first M camera body that allows precision focusing with adapted lenses.
