Hasselblad XCD 25mm f/2.5 V

MTF for Hasselblad XCD 25mm f/2.5 V

MTF is shown below at f/2.5 and f/5.6. Diffraction is incorporated according to the datasheet. Hasselblad MTF is calculated not measured eg fantasy MTF. Real lenses often fall short of calculated figures.

A pronounced dropoff in sharpness occurs from center to edges. The chart cannot tell us why, but it is almost certainly field curvature. This will not be a good lens for planar subjects at f/2.5 or even f/4 eg landscape, group photo, anything at a uniform distance across the frame. The lens might well be razor sharp over the frame, but in a curved field that is of no value for a planar subject.
