Total image quality on a scene like this is extremely difficult for a lower-resolution camera (24 megapixels or less), because many if not most scene details here would turn to mush due to lack of sensor resolution: fine twigs, bark and moss, etc. Combined with spatial aliasing effects, the results just do not work. The 50 megapixels of the Hasselblad X1D are just sufficient to succeed, but I would prefer something close to 100 megapixels for a scene like this, if only to avoid aliasing effects.
