Hasselblad XCD 38mm f/2.5 V

MTF for Hasselblad XCD 38mm f/2.5 V

MTF is shown below at f/2.5 and f/5.6.

Wide open at f/2.5, performance rolls off quickly to good levels, but this might be related to a field curvature. In any case it is outstanding for f/2.5 speed for a lens covering the 44 X 33mm format.

At f/2.5 it is superior to the Fujifilm GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 at f/5.6; it is a radically higher performing lens even at 2 1/3 stops wider aperture. At f/2.5 it is similar to the Fujifilm GF 45mm f/2.8 while being both wider and 1/3 stop faster.

What happens at f/4 is not provided by Hasselblad, but by f/5.6 the performance is world-class, and should be sufficient to deliver amazingly crisp images on a 100-megapixels sensor.
